The owners of this Lorne property, based in Melbourne, wanted to modernise their combined bathroom and laundry into a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing space. Given the distance, clear communication and guidance were essential throughout the renovation process.

Clever Space Optimisation & Stylish Finishes
One of the most significant changes to the layout was removing the existing laundry space and converting it into a large walk-in shower. This allowed for a spacious, open feel, enhanced by a built-in shower niche and tiled window reveals for a sleek, modern look.
To maximise functionality, we designed a custom vanity and tallboy unit with our skilled cabinet maker. This unit cleverly conceals the stacked washing machine and dryer, keeping them hidden when not in use. The 2Pac cabinetry doors and stone benchtop with a stylish round basin add a luxurious touch to the space.
For better usability, we replaced the original hinged door with a cavity slider, allowing for improved access and increased usable space within the room. The clients opted for black handles and fittings, creating a striking contrast against the neutral tones of the space for a sophisticated and contemporary finish.
